2. מייסורי הערוץ היחיד. סדרה שהפכה להצלחה כי לא היה משהו אחר לראות. מאוד איטית.
הסדרה רצה כעשור בשוק התחרותי ביותר בעולם. לא הערוץ הראשון הביא לה הצלחה ו\או תקציבים.
בנוסף, גם כמדומני לא קברניטי הערוץ הראשון דאז היו אלה שהעניקו לה שלושה עשר (13!) פרסי אמי (ארבעה מהם לפיטר פאלק) ואפילו שני פרסי גלובוס הזהב (אחד לפיטר פאלק, והשני לסדרת הדרמה הטובה ביותר), וגם לא היו אלה שהציבו אותה בראש מדד נילסן משך רוב עונותיה.
הסדרה היתה להיט גדול בארה"ב ובכל העולם. וגם הציבה רף איכות.
